Future Generations
Our spiritual, natural and cultural heritage should be protected and promoted in order to stand strong in current changing world and pro-actively participate in various modernization processes, to guarantee resilient, sustainable life for current and future generations.
Restoration of Customary Stories and Storylines
Restore the customary stories, customary storylines, customary spirit hotspots and customary eldership according to Customary Laws passed down from generation to generation since time immemorial.
Codification of Cultural Heritage
Document, codify and collaborate together to codify Customary Laws, Customary Values and Systems, and Cultural Heritage still exist today for further protection and promotion.
Restitution of Spiritual, Natural and Cultural Heritage
Legalize and formalize various spiritual, natural and cultural heritage within modern nation-states legal framework as proactive move from the Koteka Tribes to participate within modernisation processes.
Institutionalization of Customary Organisations
There should be modern social and cultural organisation as modern Customary Organisation to assist the tribes in social, cultural, legal and political affairs of each tribe.
At the same time, establish modern business entity for each clan and tribe in order to allow customary elders and tribal peoples participate in modern business activities to empower the people economically.
Proactive Participation in Modernisation Processes
With the Codified Customary Laws, restored customary eldership roles and functions, and legally instituted socio-cultural and business entities for each clan and tribe, will enable the tribes to proactively participate in modernisation processes so tribal peoples are not regarded and treated as “hinderance” or “problems” to development agenda.
Envisioning a Balanced and Just World
All activities are carried out in order to restore and protect spiritual, natural and cultural heritage still exist today among the Koteka tribes, and followed by envisioning a future of Koteka peoples based on customary values, systems and organisations to build a new world where balance is the rule of law, to allow harmony to regin.

The Koteka Tribes
- Wear the penis gourds (koteka) as the men’s clothing.
- Live in New Guinea Island and other small islands across Melanesia.
- Primarily base cultural activities on Sweet Potatoe, taor and yam as their staple food and pig or pork as their main meat.
